Swallow Recovery: an Update on Monitoring Programme

The nest box monitoring programme is in full swing and seemingly going well. Dannie with her crew Janice, Eamon and Devon are still monitoring the boxes twice weekly. The results are encouraging with almost half the boxes being occupied by tree swallows and violet-green swallows. Dannie is collecting and summarizing the data collected by the monitoring group and will provide us with a final report at the end of the season. Barry took some splendid photos of boxes occupied which speak for themselves.

Good that we numbered the boxes so the occupants will remember the house they live in….
