Registration  

The CERCA Symposium will be held at Cowichan Campus of Vancouver Island University (2011 University Way, Duncan, BC) from 08:30-17:30, Saturday, 14 June 2014.  There will be a brief tour of our Estuary Exhibit located at the Duncan Mall from 17:30-18:00.

 Registration:

Registration is at a nominal fee of $15 to help defray costs of renting the venue rooms, $10 for seniors or students.

 Accommodation:

Duncan and surrounding area have a variety of options for accommodation, including hotels, motels, and B&Bs of different price categories.  In addition, there are a limited number of rooms available at Affinity Guesthouse (5155 Samuel Rd, Duncan, BC, V9L 6Y1). where we will enjoy an exquisite evening catered buffet dinner.

Lunch break ( Meals):

There are at least a dozen restaurants of various types within walking distance (1 km) from Vancouver IslandUniversity.

 Optional evening dinner:

There will be an optional exquisite catered evening dinner  at the Affinity Guest House (5155 Samuel Rd, Duncan, BC)  following the Symposium.  The dinner will feature a rich buffet with hot and cold dishes, all created from local products by a well known local Chef at $25.00 per person. Please bring your own drinks. Part of the evening programme will be the official creation of the proposed Vancouver Island Estuary Alliance.  Since the facilities (and CERCA resources) are limited, we need to know in advance if you plan to attend the evening event.  PLEASE TRY TO PRE-REGISTER FOR THE SYMPOSIUM AND THE dinner by contacting Geoff
